Danielle Johnsen Karr Named First “Magnet” Lead

NEW YORK –(February 11, 2022) –Team Whistle, an Eleven Group company, today announced the launch of “Magnet,” its social content agency. With deep ties to social and streaming platforms, live sports, and the creator economy, “Magnet” will bring a differentiated offering to assist global brands, entertainment and sports properties create and distribute content to grow their audiences. The launch of “Magnet” follows an integrated and collaborative post acquisition process to unlock the combined, global capabilities of Team Whistle and Eleven.

“Magnet” has an unrivaled understanding of Gen Z and millennial consumption habits globally thanks to Team Whistle’s original content slate of 50+ shows and creator network that generates over four billion views per month and 8 billion minutes of watchtime across social platforms including TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, as well as Eleven’s OTT distribution of 65,000 hours across a portfolio of 150+ of Live Sports rights. Recent Team Whistle content activation partnerships include Fortune 500 clients such as General Mills, KFC, Chipotle, Ebay, WNBA, Wendy’s, Levi’s, and more.

With the launch of “Magnet” comes the hire of its first lead, Danielle Johnsen Karr. In this newly created role, Johnsen Karr will oversee “Magnet’s” team across creative development focused on strategy and ideation, content production, talent sourcing, amplification, insights, and execution for brands and partners across the sports and entertainment landscape. She will be reporting to Dustin Fleischman, EVP of Brand Partnerships & Revenue and be based out of New York.

Danielle Johnsen Karr has built a career within the agency world, helping Fortune 500 brands launch and scale their efforts across social and digital channels. Before joining Team Whistle, she led social and digital strategy for Mastercard, HomeGoods, Hornitos, and instax at McCann New York. Prior to that, she developed the social strategy and content offerings at Deutsch NY. And she honed her social strategy craft during her tenure at 360i, where she oversaw the entertainment practice for brands like NBCU, A&E, and HBO, and managed the social team as it tripled in size.
