TEAM WHISTLE PARTNERS WITH CROOKED MEDIA TO SYNDICATE SERIES ‘ALL CAPS NBA’ WITH JASON CONCEPCION

This Marks First Collaboration of a Larger Partnership Focused on Passion Points of Today’s Generation Including Sports, Entertainment and Activism

NEW YORK – (June 4, 2021) – Team Whistle, the global sports media and entertainment company today announced a partnership with Crooked Media, the progressive media company behind chart-toppers like Pod Save America and Keep It to syndicate their ‘ALL CAPS NBA’ series hosted by Jason Concepcion weekly across Snapchat Discover. To supplement the series, promotional posts will run across Whistle’s social O&O handles on YT, Instagram stories and Twitter. Since May 2021, Team Whistle has seen a collective 25.5 million viewers across its collection of 19 Snapchat channels.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Team Whistle for ALL CAPS NBA as they have such expertise in the sports space and how to program for Snap,” said Joel Fowler, VP of Commercial Marketing and Creative Strategy at Crooked Media. “While we hope you spit out your coffee while laughing at ALL CAPS NBA, it will never shy away from the meaningful conversations around sports and sports culture on and off the field. Team Whistle shares our commitment to tackling serious subjects without being self-serious and we know they can help us bring ALL CAPS NBA to a massive young audience.”

‘ALL CAPS NBA’, which launched in March in tandem with Concepcion’s Crooked weekly sports podcast ‘Takeline’, invites sports fans to join a quick moving, snappy discussion about what’s happening in sports, culture, and politics. Full episodes are available on Crooked's new Takeline YouTube channel, which is also home to video content from the Takeline podcast, which Concepcion hosts with former WNBA champion Renee Montgomery, as well as to all sports content from Crooked Media. Shorter, condensed episodes optimized for the Snap audience air every Friday. To deepen the partnership, Concepcion was featured in a brand new episode of Whistle’s original series Card Clout, which takes audiences through some of the rarest and most sought-after NBA trading cards on the planet.

“Our greatest desire at Team Whistle is to program meaningful uplifting content catered to our audiences how and where they want it,'' said Tyler Kenly, VP of Media at Team Whistle. “We are big fans of how authentically Crooked Media can engage audiences in meaningful conversations and are excited to bring that to young and engaged audiences on Snap. We look forward to this being the start of a fruitful partnership.”

About Crooked Media

Crooked believes that we need a better conversation about politics, culture, and the world around us -- one that doesn’t just focus on what’s broken, but what we can do to fix it. At a time when it’s increasingly easy to feel cynical or hopeless, former Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor have created a place where people can have honest conversations and tell stories that inform, entertain, and inspire action. In 2017 they started Crooked with Pod Save America—a no-bullshit conversation about politics. Since then, we’ve continued to add new shows, voices, and opportunities for activism through our Vote Save America platform, because it’s up to each of us to do our part to engage in our democracy and build a better world.
